FYHS 98th Anniversary

even it was already six years after graduation, Foon Yew High School is still a memory-filled place where we visit it at least once a year to reminisce the good old times.. August is definitely the best time to go back because it's a month full of anniversary celebrations!! there will be activities like (1) charity food sale where each class will get to set up their own stall selling foods gotten from various sources, be it homecook foods or commercial products. (2) 师生义演 where classes whose total donation raised reaches certain amount get to do a performance in front of all students from the same cohort. the performance can be carried out in whatever way you want as long as it conforms to the rules stated. speaking of this 师生义演, it had definitely left unforgettable memories in our heart :) u know, even though the performance could be really rojak and totally meaningless, we did had so much fun during the practice and the actual performance!!! yea we practised for it -_-

apart from this there are many other mini activities going on in every corners of the school. awwwwwww in other words it's just like a carnival during which rules are set aside and discipline master keeps one of his eye closed :D it's all about fun and happy!

Mini SG Food Trip

it was an impromptu trip to Singapore with miss choco, who called me the night before and i steadily fixed our food date for the next day! the trip was pretty short hence we only managed to visit two places, all around Ann Siang and Duxton Hill.

i'm missing the days when we walked around different places hunting for nice foodies :'(

so there was this one fine day, miss choco and i crossed the bridge over to the little red dot to hunt for some nice foods. it was a one-day trip and the weather was awesome! so were our moods ;)

Jalan Tan Hiok Nee is a small street located at the city centre of Johor Bahru. It has been made a cultural street two years ago in order to preserve the culture of the Chinese community there, as part of the Iskandar Project. Jalan Tan Hiok Nee has been existing for a real long and i used to pass by this street on my way to school but i was not really interested in finding out more about the place over the years. this place came into mind when leewang and i ran out of place to go on Saturday -_- heard that there are quite a number of thematic cafes located hence we specially made a trip down to discover the beauty of this cultural street.

munching peanuts + chatting nonsense with friends while waiting for the foods to be served effectively shortened the perceived waiting time!!!!

so these peanuts have been successfully used to make you feel that they serve food fast.

they serve homemade wedges rather than the usual french fries. wedges were not the crispy-outside-mashy-inside kind but they were pretty good though.

i preferred a more tender kind of chicken chop but this was acceptable.

have been busy with festivals like x'mas and new year ever since i was back from the trip. landed M'sia on 22/12 4am+ after the 4-hour night flight i was tired like nobody's business. slept all the way from KL and continued to sleep the day away on my comfy bed -_- then x'mas came and it was all about sleepless nights and messed-up body clock :( but thank god it's gradually going back to shape now and i'm really really putting in efforts to maintain a healthy lifestyle ! yep and after the merry merry christmas what followed next is the brand new year 2012! zomg 4 months later i will be one year older i'd better start fighting aging real soon T_T

there are countless blogs in this blogosphere, each of them exists with its own uniqueness which attracts different group of reader. i wonder how many of you actually shared the same thought as me: why could some blogs attract incredibly huge bunch of readers while some don't. so i asked myself why did i follow blogs i followed? and i realized perhaps it's simply because they possess certain characteristics that i don't or lead a life that i wish i had. ok enough on that since i'm not doing an analysis on why popular blogs are popular -_- my point is that i was once envying of bloggers with loads and loads of follower. it feels good when you know somebody cares about what you share and most importantly, they response.

BUT NOW, not anymore.

why should i care about if someone is reading whatever crap i wrote? it doesn't really matter to me anymore. come to think of it, it could be ultra inconvenient if your blog became sooooooo popular like xiaxue's. when ur blog became popular, inevitably you'd be famous too. imho the worst thing about being famous is that people get so jealous of you they start badmouthing behind you whenever they can. you do it right they also criticize, if you do it wrong CONGRATULATION they would scold you like you had kill a saint. what's more, you catch attention whenever you go so you have to be really wary on your behavior/appearance or critics are coming you way. you see how disastrous it is?

MUST EMPHASIZE: I DO NOT MEAN BEING FAMOUS IS NOT GOOD.

ofcoz being famous has many benefits which can easily form a long list though. i seriously don't mind being famous if i have the X-factors and are all mentally prepared to bear all the responsibilities that come along lol. it's just that not being a famous person/blog is not that bad afterall and is actually a blessing in disguise too. you save all the aforementioned troubles!

i personally think blogging is meant for any things or incidents that worth to be recorded for keepsake, at least my blog serves this purpose. it's really pathetic to be writing for the sake of writing. as you all know human organs start disfunctioning as we grow old hence you lose your precious memories with your loved ones eventually. that's why photography is such a nobel invention, which helps capturing all the important moments and keeps it forever (provided all the printed/digital photos are kept properly lar). there is this quote from a Taiwanese drama that i really liked:

“攝影是將瞬間變成永恆的魔法”

however, the voiceless photographs are just not good enough. it's true that a picture tells a thousand stories but still you are gonna forget the details many many years later. with blog we are actually offered a place to keep our memories in the form of pictures together with elaborations of the story behind it. there is no doubt that picture is an useful visual tool for recollection yet video is still the best option as it is the live record of the actual situation but sorry,

YOU CANNOT PHOTOSHOP VIDEO.

and i believe there are more ~~ugly~~ lazy people in this universe hence more photos than video LOL.

have you ever discovered a letter/diary which you had written years ago and you smiled/burst into laughter after reading? i know my blog will stay as long as Google remains hence this blog will be a mean of correspondence between me and the future me since i will read it again and again when i'm really bored to laugh at myself -_- in other words i'm writing something to be read by the future me in the future! therefore it's ok if nobody gives a shit to this blog of mine since i will always have this imaginary future reader -_-

two years after my last trip to HK with leewang, we're gonna fly to somewhere famous for milktea/giant chicken cutlet/oyster meesua/hot spring/salesssss and definitely the hot cake You Are The Apple of My Eye!

counting down: 13 days.

leewang booked the flight tix at least half a year back and just in a blink of an eye the departure date is just around the corner! shall admit that time flies with no anticipation along. we opted for free-and-easy trip hence we are supposed to plan our own journey for the all six days. speaking of planning, em for a trip that is just 13 days away, we have yet to come out with a solid plan…

i was tasked to plan for the 6D5N trip since i'm happily goyang kaki at home at the moment while leewang has to work so hard for the trip fund. but but but my days have been occupied by whatever-thing-it-is ever since the end of FYP, which was, erm, 3 months ago. -_- not that i've had a big project going on or other task, time just went by without me knowing it.

i did try to plan it by researching from the internet on famous tourist attractions/foods ~~and shopping malls~~. but it was so tough!!! i was flooded with all kinds of information from various websites/forum/blogs that planning became so difficult since i'm sooooo not familiar with the entire area. imagine you found out that there are 10 famous places that tourists should visit and all the details you ever needed were provided, how are you gonna plan with zero knowledge on the distance between each location? there could be thousands of roads in taipei ONLY and i find it so hard to remember each road :(

after much struggles, the final solution to the problem is getting a travel guide to north Taiwan -_- we're gonna take reference from the book on where to go or what to eat! briefly browsed through the book just now but was already confused by the map provided along with each recommendation :x

ok it's not really THAT big as it's only approximately 1/70 of Johor -_- hmmmm i will conquer it by coming out a good plan……………...with leewang :p

so the long awaited outlet village is finally here!!! there's no need to fly all the way to europe/usa anymore just to get discounted items from various luxury brands such as Coach/Burberry/Gap/Salvatore Ferragamo/Lacoste/DKNY/Guess/La Senza etc etc etc. i know you guys are just as excited as i do!!!!!!!!The grand opening is actually on 11th December, thanks to leewang i've gotten the chance to visit this outlet village even before the grand opening :) you might have realized that i called it a VILLAGE since it does't really look like a shopping mall to me. my mom said the setup of the entire place is actually pretty similar to the outlet mall at Bangkok. I've never been there before thus there is no comment on that.The design on this JPO is rather Malay style imho. In general, there are a total of two storeys and the outlets are arranged in a row starting from one end to another. Within the spacious compounds, there are plants everywhere which more or less have enhanced the relaxing atmosphere for better shopping experience. Good news to the elderly (and bf/husband/guys), there are also chairs set up at various spots to grant the tiring feet some rests after non-stop ~~shopping~~ walking. how considerate the management is!Apart from a series of fashion stores, there are also quite a number of food establishments to ease your hunger. but i guess all shopaholics may be too busy shopping to feel hungry lol. Or, simply can't afford to stop for some foods considering all the great bargains do not wait! Visited Starbucks and i kinda like it - for the spacious area to chill your time away ;) bought a caffe latte and for the first time i was offered to take a sip to check if i'm happy with it - he's all ready to get me a replacement in the event that i'm not satisfied with my drink. all that's really nice of him! this may be common to any of you but it was my very first encounter!Didn't really snap a lot of pictures since the compounds look more or less the same every where. There are also not much photos within each outlets due to the fact that i was just too feared of being warned not to take photo within the premise -_-

with what i wrote in previous entry, i presume you have fully understand why this blog has been left with no new updates for the past few months. i don't want to write long story for this entry as i knew all these alphabets when combined into words can be too boring to keep you reading. so as to show you how merciful i am i've decided to blog with some random photos and let them tell the story instead.

he was actually flying to errr dontknowwhichcountry after this dinner + sending me home. i remember i used to be really really sad (and cried -_-) whenever he needed to be away for days (yes days only -_-) but he has now become a frequent flyer that i am kinda used to it already. nowadays i'm more worried about his safety ever since i read a news regarding flight crash in newspaper. what freaked me out was the fact that the accident took place just few days after his return from Iran and what's more, that unfortunate flight was FROM THE SAME AIRWAYS AS THE ONE WHICH LEEWANG TOOK.

he kept assuring me that taking a flight is actually safer than driving a car. but tell me, how not to be worried?

i might be pessimistic but you must agree with me that being scared of losing the loved one is definitely human nature THAT SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED AT ALL :((

my most expensive ever dinner in sg -_- had it at Amici, an authentic Italian restaurant located within Holland Village, Singapore.

i love the squid ink paste despite the black stain left on my teeth! unexpectedly, the award-winning cod fillet was not that fantastic imho.

standing next to me was my poly cum uni mates JOLYN! we got on better only after the second semester if i remember correctly. perhaps fate brought us closer LOL

i also want to have a v-shape face like hers T_T

but luckily my big face issue is solvable with this 10000000% safe/risk-free/non-surgical method called PHOTOSHOP lol

for those who came and left, and came back again, i truly appreciate your support from the bottom of my heart. so yup, welcome back!

i had officially graduated and am having extremely free schedule everyday :D my daily routines are basically exercise/breakfast/reading newspaper/bath/online/lunch/tv/dinner/sleep. i cant help but to agree strongly that i'm having such a good life at the moment - totally stress- and worry-free! but come-on people, i totally deserve this break after suffering from the extremely stressful life after two years ok! back at my poly time when leewang was still a student, i had about 5 or 6 modules per semester and to attend lectures/tutorial/laboratory sessions everyday WHILE leewang did not have lesson every day. even when he did the lecture times occupied only a few hours if i'd remembered correctly. then i thought, why was my diploma program so much tougher than his degree program?! apart from him, a few of my high school friends were also rather eng eng during their degree days. TELL ME WHY T_T

no choice but to persevere throughout and finally! hohoho gotten by diploma after three years. but how could i just stop there? the currently society made me feel so incompetent without a degree. i was thinking there is high possibility that degree may become a prerequisite for work since it has been getting common nowadays while getting a master degree or even PhD will be more advantageous in terms of work prospects. thanks to the collaboration between Singapore Polytechnic and Massey University from New Zealand, i managed to get a place in the degree program without having to fly over! my classmates who went over to NZ for the FYP spent about (at least) S$6k for 3 months so please do your own maths on how much the cost incurred would be if i were to do the 4 years degree course there -_- speaking of the course, it is kinda a taylor-made degree course for SP Food Tech diploma students as the course is designed in such a way that modules that we have taken during diploma days are exempted. hence the four years course was eventually reduced to only 2 years. majority of the modules are carried out in block mode meaning we do only 1 module (sometimes 2) at a time and will finish every thing in about 1 month's time. sounds relax and easy-peasy?

block mode means you will have lessons/lab sessions from 9-5pm every single day and on top of that, reports or assignments come in every week and you are given only 1 week to finish all researching+reporting works. almost all weekends were spent doing report and the things that my classmates and i did most often was complaining about lack of time/sleep T_T i swear if i were given more time i'd do much much better! another important element in any course is none other but EXAM. for this so-called intensive two years program, SORRY NO STUDY WEEK. we had at most 1 week to study for all lecture note/tutorials/past-year papers and after the exam we would move on to another new modules. there were about 4-5 modules per semester and the work load was crazy -_- i thought my life was stressful enough during high school time especially during Senior 3 when we were busy preparing for UEC (well to be exact we had been preparing for UEC ever since junior one -_-). coz we were having after-lesson tuition like every day and there were endless physics and math exercise received every day. what i could remember now were the days i spent lecture time ~~copying~~ rushing for exercises due on the day itself LOL however i actually pretty enjoyed that period despite the busy schedule. i had a big bunch of funny classmates who nonetheless added so much laughters to the tough time :) just as i thought i had encountered a real busy life, my days in SP made me realized high school times was basically nothing -_- i was SO MUCH more busy than before!! then, the degree program, especially the last semester, was a total disaster T________T i had a really really tough time during the second semester that almost all of us felt physically and mentally exhausted at the end of that module due to the reason that we had two modules on-going at the same period. at that point of time i was like SO busy that i thought the course work could not be more busy anymore or all of us were gonna die of stress -_- yet i was proven wrong at the last semester that all of us actually experienced the most hectic ever life - few project went on at the same time but given really tight time budget. but anyway, finally every thing has over now and i just wanna spend quality time with all the loved one to make up for the past two years… :)

gosh i took the entire evening for this blog entry yet it has not yet covered everything that i wanted to blog about -_- i seriously need to blog more often otherwise sooner or later i will lose my ability to compose sentence that is longer than 5 words -_- just like normal human who don't consume lactose-containing foods will eventually end up being lactose-intolerant after prolonged period - because the body stop producing lactase knowing you don't need it.

so yeah, next up date coming soon. promise!

wow first time blogging with my phone! I'm on the shuttle bus heading towards Jurong East, which may take about 30mins depending on the traffic condition. was thinking of updating my blog just now so I might as well utilize this traveling time to blog rather than looking out of the window aimlessly -_-

okie back to the topic - FYP. omg it's finally here! and it has been almost two weeks since the official commencement. haven't done much stuff I'd say and I even took a day off to grant myself a long weekend :D my progress isn't as smooth as expected but I believe it will get better and better :)

my FYP project is a sponsored project from AVA hence I'm spending most of the time there. poor thing me doing my project all alone :(( today is my forth day at AVA and I'm more or less used to this ulu place already -_- gonna bring my own lunch everyday as like what I said, the place is super ulu hence I can hardly see any shop. the staff usually have their lunch next door (another division of AVA, different building) but I heard that there's only one stall selling economical rice. I'm lazy to walk and in fact I can't really afford the time to go for lunch so generally I bring my own food and have my lunch settled in the lab WHILE CARRYING ON MY TRIALS -.- I have to do so or I will not be able to complete what I want to do :(

feeling kinda happy today as a big problem of my project has been solved!!! if it weren't solved I could foresee I will be having hard time dealing with it! had a really bad day yesterday and leewang told me 否极泰来 so everything will be fine today. true enough, everything ran smoothly today and I managed to finished 8 trials!! he could become fortune teller already lol

time was spent rushing between two labs so time went by crazily fast!! but that also means that I shall really make good use of the time to produce information that I need :)

on the train now heading towards Dhoby Ghaut to meet with the high school pals for dinner. yup I think that's it for this entry and I will try to update as frequent as I can!

i'm back!

i guess i shall bear the responsibility to explain to people, who still concern about this place, about where i have been disappearing to for the past two months. being a student, apart from courseworks i doubt i could have anything better to keep myself busy with. i experienced the most busy life that i have ever encountered, did the most things in such short period in the past two months!!!

went back to school from my attachment on 31st Mar and have done with everything that i needed to finish before my FYP commences on 8th June. now when i come to think of it, i just realized i have done a lot of stuff in just only two months! to conclude, i've had a total of three modules but only one was examinable while the rest were project-based. all the works include 7 group reports + 1 individual essay + 8 meetings with lecturers + 3 presentations + 1 exam (which was given only 1 day to stud -.-) + uncountable lab works. managed to developed two products out of nothing :) all these were completed not without spending my precious weekends with reports/assignments; spending more time in sch than at home; insufficient sleep and most importantly, stressssssssss! which explains where the rotten face that i'm carrying with me everyday comes from T.T

finally here i am, all relaxed :) i'm not yet graduating as i'm still left with the super important final year project. without any group member, definitely it needs a proper planning before any work can be carried out. but for now i shall give myself a really good break after so much things in order to get ready for the final task.

i will be all ready by then and i know i must graduate on the 3rd November 2011 :)

it all started off by a phone call.

an randomly-sent resume;
an interview;
and then, my two months attachment with Purple Sage.

in just a blink of an eye, 28.02.2011 marked the end of my attachment day.
time flies!! (it does only when you're having GOOD TIME -_- lol)

as usual, i prepared some chocolates for each of the colleagues in the office as my token of appreciation. I might not have worked with nor received any assistance from all of them, but i did appreciate them for not being nasty to me during the entire attachment period hence i think they deserved a THANK YOU from me. unexpectedly, i got a pretty rose bouquet back from Kelvin, the florist, in return of my chocolate. If you happen to read this, i'd like to tell you the bouquet did make my day.. it was so sweet of you and i was really touched by this little gesture. thanks for the effort! :)

thanks jiamin and lilin for taking an effort to have a farewell lunch with me 'coz i knew two of you are really busy. what a pity that i didn't get to try out The French Stall with you all this time but i believe there are always chances in days to come :) i really enjoyed my time working with you all.. although i wasn't involved much in foodtech-related tasks as i was supposed to be, i'm glad that i could play a small part in organizing the Purple Prelude event, which was an eye-opener for me! any issues aroused might have made the event a little imperfect, but do remember problems are always inevitable, we shall learn not to take everything too hard or it will only make our life miserable. have faith in yourself - and you're ready for all challenges :)

the random ktv session had put a perfect fullstop to my attachment. colleagues are whom we meet for work; friends are whom we meet for life. they are only a line apart - it takes only a step forward for one to cross the line and turn the identity of colleague into friend. to people who attended, i regret for not knowing you guys earlier or i bet my days with PS could have been filled with even more fun. nonetheless, it's still not too late have all of you added to my friends list.

i know i'm gonna miss days when we chatted and laughed happily

i know i'm gonna miss days when we went to shop for new year clothes at bugis

i know i'm gonna miss days when Liang & Alan came into our room and said/did some funny stuff (the prank played on Shirley was totally unforgettable lol)

i know i'm gonna miss this day when i went out with colleagues after-work for the first time

i'm fortunate enough to have met a bunch of nice people, whom definitely played a large part in making my attachment with PS a memorable one. everything is just.... wonderful.

as suggested by the title, this is gonna be a post not dedicated to anyone or anything. i always came here and left without leaving any traces. it takes great efforts to bring yourself to start doing something. i always wanted to blog about something in my mind from time to time but just couldn't really set my mind and brought it into action.

the clock tells 12.34am. i will be leaving for singapore in 5 hours' time hence i should have turned in rather than updating my bloggie at this hour. grrr my mind is all filled up with some not-so-happy issue which i just had with my mom i can't organize the stuff i wanna blog about properly. don't worry it's nothing of a big deal - just something frustrating that had totally spoilt my mood.

like what i said in my previous post, i failed to update this blog frequently as promised. it's another one month and i'm also at the end of my attachment. this is the first time i ever feel like going back to my attachment company after my graduation. unfortunately they do not need a foodtech-related personnel hence it's kinda unlikely for me to join them then :( i love the people there, the environment, the working style, the friendly attitude of boss and even the company location. up to date there's like nothing i dislike about this company! or maybe i should consider turning myself into a marketing-person despite my foodtechnology background such that i can be part of their family again lol.

celebrated two big-festivals-of-the-year in the past one month! as we grow up, cny seems to have become less happening as compared to what we actually anticipated when we were young. nowadays it's just a festive season accompanied by consecutive holidays and nice (fattening) foods and nothing else apart from these. perhaps i had spent large part of my cny break hanging out with friends rather than going for relative-visits that aids in bonding up with cussies? seriously i'm not really in good relationships with all my relatives besides my auntie whom i have been staying with for the past 4 years! this could be really bad but.... i just can't help it. i couldn't find any intersection points in our life making interaction really difficult. i'm not a very sociable and active speaker you see... probably i will be one day as people do change when they grow older lol

after cny what came next is the big-day of lovers - the valentine's day! 14022011 marked the sixth (and still counting <3) valentine's day that leewang and i had spent together!!! it was a monday hence both of us were in the everything-is-expensive singapore. i hate the idea of most restaurants having special v-day set meals as the foods usually sucks to the max yet overly priced. in the end we fed our tummy with different side dishes instead of course-meal! settled the night at raffles city where we had cakes in canele first. almost all cakes had been sold out! we were left with only 3 choices by the time we placed our order -_- chosen 2 out of three as i don't really fancy tart pastry. the cakes were awesome! the say 'you pay for what you get' is so true. my vocabulary sucks hence i'm really poor in describing how nice the foods tasted. if i were that capable i'd have become a food blogger who can describes every single fine detail of the foods ages ago! i wouldn't say cakes from other pattisserie are of no match for it but their cakes are really good.

gosh my house experienced blackout before I finished making me lose track of what I intended to write O.o I shall stop it here then. I hope 3 hours of sleep can last me to the end of the day.

apparently i didn't keep my promise of updating this blog more frequently. checking the date of my last entry, it has been 41 solid days since i last wrote something here! oh gosh.... time flies! in the speed of light maybe -_-

am actually sitting in the office where i'm having my last attachment. i'm not sure if i've found the right placement as the actual job scope ain't really as expected i'd say. a food student in MARKETING department? sounds kinda funny but i guess it does happen in real life where demand is always higher than supply hence one don't really get to settle down in the position that they have been looking for all the while. anyway i have been in this company for three weeks and i do enjoy my time here. colleagues are ultra young and nice! average age is like 20 over and you know what? I'M THE OLDEST! excuse me why would a 24-year-old girl turn out to be the oldest in the department?! =_= another thing that i love about this company is the office-politic-free culture! promotion doesn't really exist in this company hence there is no fighting over it and therefore no reason for the politics to exist! but i guess the young-age factor more or less contributed to such environment. thanks to this company i got the exposure to many non-food-related stuffs ! marketing can be quite fun but still... food is my love ;)

after undergoing three attachments, i'd drawn the conclusion that i enjoy working life more than student life. ok perhaps you guys would argue that attachment is far different from the actual working life where the latter will be way more hectic and stressful and attachment is basically the simplified form of real life working situation. but frankly speaking i really enjoy the life where 6pm marks the end of the working hour and most importantly you GET PAID for all the hard works! all the work load is kind of like part and parcel of life. it's inevitable and you gotta bear the responsibility that is deemed to come. you can't avoid it so why not treat it from a different point of view and learn to enjoy?

supposedly i would be celebrating the 65th month with leewang after work but he has flown to CHINA last Sun and will only be back on 28th Jan :( poor thing him spending 3/4 of the month out of msia/sg. sigh sigh sigh feel rather upset of him not being here with me on this special day of ours... i knew he's actually even more upset than me knowing that i'm quite unhappy over it.. so i'm not gonna put this matter to heart and shall try to fill my time with all sorts of stuff such that time goes by faster without me realizing! thanks chewting for showing pity on me by going shopping with me later lol! realizing i've got too much tops i need to shop for bottoms so badly!

hi there! how's life going on? got little bit of motivation for blogging so here i am jumping my fingers on my keyboard for some meaningful update lol
what in hand right now is an ice-cream, a dessert after lunch! am waiting for the video to finish loading so i think i could make good use of the time by doing a short update :) if only life could be this easy and relax every day...

it's december! as usual, end/beginning of a month is usually my exam time. food microbiology paper down today and another one will be coming up next mon. hasn't got much time for that so basically i can't afford to waste every single minute of my time. but i'm simply not in the mood to study : / slept at abt 2am last night and woke up 5am+ today... apparently my brain cells aren't functioning properly now so i shall wait until they have returned to the normal state only begin my mugging. rest is meant for the long journey ahead! pardon my ultra lousy direct translation but it's not too bad after all 'coz you guys actually know what i was trying to say don't you?! lol

everybody thinks of x'mas when it comes to december... i'm not a christian so basically x'mas isn't really a big deal for me. anyway i do like x'mas, for all the nice deco and pretty stuff/promotions that those clever merchant out here have come out with, or, be more exact, for having another good reason to get myself some new stuff :D but unfortunately i'm extremely broke now so most probably i won't be shopping despite all the S-A-L-Es that are happening in town. SO SAD! it's true that i'm broke. but it's up to you whether you wanna take my words. ;)

i bet the most happening issue of this year would undoubtedly go to yilynn's participation in STAR SEARCH 2010 and she made all the way to grand final!!! we could do nothing else but give her the fullest support in her not-so-easy journey. thanks to her we got the admission into mediacorp for catching the semi-final and grand-final live! oh gosh watching live was definitely awesome as you got to see the entire scene rather than the limited view screened in tv at home. both shows took me the entire day due to the travel+waiting time (and i was in my study week -_-) but it was all worthwhile. she was awesome and i'm so proud of her! the judges could have overlooked her awesomeness but it's ok she will always be the champion in our heart :) <3

wow. another one month had just passed in a blink of an eye.
just like how i am stunned by the fact that my seemingly long 3 hours lesson break is gonna end in 15 minutes' time.

the past few weeks have been really hectic and stressful :( the timetable is all packed up - stayed in sch 9-5 like a working adult, assignments and test all came at once and up til now there are still 3 assignments on hand to be cleared. oh gosh i see myself as the most pai miah undergraduate among all the friends ._.

everybody is working so hard for the future. the aim of making big money for good life put us into a life that everyone is striving for the best and results in this stressful state. sigh.

im leading this miserable life for the thin piece of degree. for this society that think you-are-nothing-if-do-not-have-good-qualification. for the fact that you are deem to suffer if you are poor. so, what if i don't want a good life?

most people links good life to luxury or materialism, so do i.

had a good chat with leewang last week while i put my works aside to have some rests. he wrapped his arm around me and i told him perhaps we should move out of the city and stay in a small village. we plant vegetables, rear animals (ok this idea was thrown away as i knew it's toooooo cruel for me to kill my animals, so we shall buy from others!), work when we want to and rest when we don't. no luxury goods no big car no big house no competition no stress. everything is just so simple yet heartwarming.

ok i know this kind of life is too ideal to be worked out in reality. it can be made real only on the basis of having a huge sum of money in the bank -_-

but come to think of it, it's so wonderful isn't it?

what matters more is the one who stands next to you when you need them most.

couldn't help but say money is the thing that makes everything so complicated.

ok enough of complaint.

i'm still the one who has survived through 1/2 of the degree program and will survive in the remaining half!

started my final year 1 month ago. as usual, the assignments kept coming like no end and they're all piling up undone. im so not in the mood for any assignment. i do not know what's wrong with me!

i find it so difficult to rest my fingers on the keyboard to do some updates on my recent life.

in less than 1 hour's time will come the day that marks the 5th Anniversary of leewang and i! we've been seeing each other for 5 years! oh gosh that ain't really easy i'd say. there are times when we were unhappy with each other for some disagreements or felt sad over some minor issues... however having been through all these we are still able to hold on to each other for anything that have yet to come. we know we have found the right one for ourselves, for the future. we found each other.

we wouldn't have come so far without the trust for each other, and of course, love. we know what is love and prove that with actions. it all thanks to the belief that every single effort will be paid off :)

i'm so dumb in words that i could barely explain how fortunate i think i am. i'm not even sure why i deserved such a good man and good life. thanks for everything. i'm so blessed :)

holiday started last wednesday ohh so i have been in holiday for one week! but i havent done anything meaningful yet other than sleeping. i slept a lot for the past few days, at least 12 hours i guess? perhaps my brain wanted compensation for not being able to have good rest for the past 1 year -_-

leewang is currently at Iran now, with me knowing nothing about that country. i have no idea how the situation there is now. i was only told that he stays in a factory hostel, shares a room with one of his colleague. he gave a short call last night to assure me that he had reached there safely. i didn't carry a big hope that there will be wireless facility at that rural area where he's staying. i haven't got a single news from him today yet.awwww miss him so much :(

i've had enough rest i don't wanna stay at home all day long anymore : / seriously i need somebody to accompany me for shopping/chatting/hanging around/doing whatever-it-is but seems that i failed to find one. :( it's not that fun being ridiculously free when people around you is so busy like nobody's business. sigh.... that's life.

many friends of my batch or even some of my juniors have already gotten their degree yet i'm still having one more year to go. even my dear leewang has official become a working adult. Being the only student among a group of working adult makes me feel.....not right. it isn't a big deal i'm just scared that sooner or layer we may lose the common topic. ok i guess i'm being over-pessimistic. things aren't going to turn into such undesirable way no no no no nO NO!

hmmm i guess that's all for now. what i'm having in mind at the moment is to receive a call from leewang and chat my lungs out with him! that's a bit impossible due to the RM1/min call rate -_- omg omg omg leewang just called! he worked from 8am to 7pm+ and will need to work on sat n sun as well. WTH what kind of law is that??!!! so his job is actually as a translator =.= oh so poor thing :'( he's gonna call me again later before i go to bed. wooohoooo his call has made my day ♥

his company sends him to Iran, kind of like a learning trip since he's not in-charge of any thing. he's now in Changi airport while i'm sitting at home. i cant send him off coz i can already predict i will cry like a little kid who drops ice-cream on the floor -_- for the first time after 2 years we wont be seeing each other for so many days. although it's only 10days but whenever he's going overseas i'll feel sad T.T

omg omg omg omg it's holiday!!!!!!!

oh dear i nvr realized i havent been blogging for the past two months =.= that's really ridiculous LOL

i'm bored of the old blog design so i got it changed into a new one! awww like this template so much. it's full of ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ it simply reflects my current situation. initially i wanted a very simple template that allows comments or easy-customization but i failed to find a nice one : / in the end i googled and found this! it still requires some html editing but it's much easier so here it is ^.^

perhaps i ought to give reason for being MIA for the whole 3 weeks?

was buried in the world of report n assignment n presentation, working non-stop night and day and now i finally got the chance to take a breath of the fresh air! i've forgotten the last time i felt so stressed out :( nonetheless, everything's over and i'm left with only exam to deal with! opps actually there's still one more assignment that will due on 21st May but i've yet to start working on it ._. cant be bothered now. i intend to settle it after i'm done with exam! exam has been pre-scheduled on 13th May. WHY COULDNT THEY MAKE IT AFTER MY BIRTHDAY T.T

woke up at 6.30am+ and went for exercise with leewang today! walked+ran for like 1 hour and both of us were so so so so SO tired. couldnt help but bring myself to accept the fact that we are getting older =.= but i loved the feeling of sweating after exercising. it made me feel healthier ;) ok i must keep it up! hopefully i manage to wake up this early every sunday O.o

after stopped blogging for quite some times it seems like.....i'm so dumb at doing it now! couldnt really come out with something that is nice to read : /

have been trying to upload photos to fb even before i started this entry but it failed for N times n it really annoyed me :( eh but finally it just succeeded!

due to the assignment i spent most of my time in jb facing my laptop for the past few weeks..... not being able to spend more time with my parents made me so sad... but i have been set free from assignment now! so today i went for breakfast with papa mama, afterwhich we gaigai-ed at jusco and each of us managed to brought something home :D we dont have to do anything to please our parents. being by their side is the best gift they would ever request for.

aw my stomach is fullllll of rice now as i've just inserted 6 unagi sushi and 4 salmon belly sushi into it -_- i'm sooooooooooo happy today i did not want to restrict myself to choose my dinner based on my budget. n i guess i shall claim the $$$$ spent for dinner from somebody. you know who you are! these are vinyl bags. i bought them for my umbrella!

i can keep the wetted umbrella in straight away after use without having to fold them properly. those little bag that comes with the umbrella is well-fitted that it requires you to fold up the umbrella properly or you wont be able to slot it in, but this bag is big enough for my umbrella i dont have to fold it nicely in order to keep it.

SO nice!

this vinyl bag is also water proof so the wetted umbrella in it wont bring disaster to anything inside my bag. most importantly it has cute graphical desigh LOL apparently i'll be taking the pink one and i'm gonna benefit somebody by giving him the blue one!

popped by Watson's and found something cool - Cure Natural Aqua Gel

it's a gel that can removed the dead skin. it has a tester there so i just pumped a small amount and applied on the skin around my finger nail.

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was gel-like but soon after it was in contact with the skin and with slight rubbing it turned into liquid and a while later the dead skin really came off!!!!! i could tell 'coz the skin around my finger nail did become smoother!!!! they were very kind that they provided sample too! i got it from the counter and gonna try out later!

the brochure attached with the samples claims that 'One is sold every 20 seconds!' & 'For the past seven years, many leading Japanese magazines have featured Cure for its popularity, not a penny has been spent on advertisement!' i've no idea whether these are true but the result was rather impressive and i was so tempted to get one!!

i would have updated my bloggie if i wasn't tired like hell yesterday =.=

slept really early last night but this morning i was nearly late for lesson ._. so you can tell how tired i was yesterday. went to carrefour with classmates to search for product for a food labeling assignment and after like 1 hour++ we finally got found a product that suits best BUT the classrep told us the other groups have got similar products :( the question says we are not allowed to use the same labeling but not similar product wat! our product is soy milk while others groups have chosen HL milk and soy powder. i dont see a valid reason why we can't use the product of our choice ~.~ gonna see the lecturer-in-charge tmr to fight for the product! lol

i've lost tract of when i last shopped in sg. we went to the carrefour at PS so after we had finished the discussion i dropped by Daiso and unexpectedly stayed there for 1 hour -_- unlike the Daiso in jb, Daiso in sg is simply a great place to shop when everything is as cheap as 2 bucks!!!! RM5 sounds rather expensive for most things sold there O.o in the end spent 12 bucks and got......

fi fi fi fi finally i got the grades of the rest of the 2 modules today! i was worried to death yesterday coz the prof said there was one failure, who will need to resit for the exam :( luckily i manged to pass! got B- for it and an unexpected A- for the other module. hohoho i was lucky. seriously coz there are people who worked 10000% harder than i did had scored poorer results which i have no idea W.H.Y -_- i'm SO blessed

tomorrow is Wednesday, halfway to weekend! in less than 3 days' time i'll be meeting leewang again! miss him so much :(

Saturday is always the day that i look forward to the most throughout the entire week. no disturbance from the noisy alarm clock no assignment but only the loved one and a good day.

if only i could own a calender that has only SATURDAY & SUNDAY :(

yesterday leewang reached my place at abt 9am, trying to wake me up like what he used to be doing every Sat morning. but i went to bed pretty late on Fri night i had difficulty getting my eyes open '_' i din even have the strength to response to the every single word he had spoken to me -_- in the end he gave up to join me and both of us slept until the clock nearly hit 12pm LOL ^.^v

in the noon time the we headed to the famous 成记 chicken rice for lunch and something unpleasant had took place. when my chicken was served i saw a tiny bug on it!!!! the blacky bug caught my attention the moment it was placed in front of me and i just unconsciously shouted out 'EH WAT'S THAT!!!' i was more than 100000000000% sure it was a living thing coz it was moving!!!!!!! but when the aunty who served the rice tried to take a close look it stopped moving. SPEECHLESS =.= the aunty must be long-sighted she said 'it's not bug lar maybe it's.....' i couldn't stand it and interrupted 'BUT IT WAS MOVING!!!!' in the end ofcoz the aunty replaced one for me but in a very reluctant manner. he told the boss what had happened n guess wat? the boss came to tell me 'it's not bug lar how is it possible to have bug in it?' WTH they shud take a magnifying glass to check and be convinced that IT WAS A LIVING CREATURE!!!!!!!!! i wasn't making any trouble but a innocent customer who was extremely unfortunate to get a plate of chicken rice with bug as a dish decoration ._. shud have taken the shot to keep it as evidence :( during the meal i was also trying very hard to convince myself that they did change a new portion of chicken rather than had the bug removed then returned it back to me O.o

OH YA! how could i forget about this.

WE MADE MATCHA ICE-CREAM AGAIN!!! :D

with some changes in working steps

totally given up the idea of handmake -.-

replaced with an antique-like hand mixer

this time round we even used a sieve to have all the bubbles removed in order to give it a more even and smooth surface.

ok i was TOTALLY CONVINCED that handmake is simply a waste of time : x

the machine-made one was SO DIFFERENT!

so now i fully understood what the packaging meant by saying 'thicken' -_-

and the volume was also much greater compared to the one we made last time

frozen!

the texture was much, much, much better than last time!

no more double-layers and it tasted the same at every point of the ice-cream!

but no matter how good it was the texture was still pretty far away from the smooth texture found in the commercial ice-cream -_-

taste-wise i'd say it was awesome.

it tastes almost 99% the same as Starbucks Green Tea Cream Frappuccino!!!

by saying this i shud have given you the idea of how heavenly the taste is :D

apart from this there was nth else special. leewang was busy doing revision for the exam so we stayed at home for the rest of the time. i killed the time by watching my favourite drama and i really enjoyed this kind of life u see. no worries of unfinished assignment or report or upcoming presentation or test or exam. what i need to do is simply do-all-i-want :D but i fell asleep half way through the drama and woke up to find leewang lying next to me. =.= this lazy pig :p woken up by the living-clock-leewang early in the morning today for the sake of breakfast with his family : / after tat he sent me home and tat ended our long weekend date. ♥

was surfing net for the entire afternoon before going for sports-shoe-hunting with mama. had no idea since when my mama had became so passionate in exercising! she goes for jogging everyday now but she's lack of a proper shoes. without much effort we got the right shoes at kinda acceptable price :D

it's in the very classic running shoes design and ultra comfy!!!!!! really lightweight that doesnt add any burden to your feet at all! retails at RM229 but sale is on so we got it at RM199. definitely worth every single cent! speaking of adidas... mom got her first pair of adidas at the age of 52 but i got mine like few years ago. my point is that i'm a totally fortunate child ain't i? mama n papa are more than willing to spend every single cent to get us what we wanted but they themselves lead a really thrifty life to save up... it made me feel so guilty and sad for being so insensible in spending but... somehow it was just so difficult to resist : / okok i'll really spend more efforts in my financial planning ok!!

OH YA! it's saturday! finally once again leewang's gonna come to wake me up early in the morning! it has been 4 months since the last time he reached my house before 10am on Saturday :( his very last internship had ended in the blink of an eye so he's now free again on Saturday morning! wooohooohoooo so so so happy :) but he will be having his exam on Monday so most probably we'll be going nowhere and stay guaiguaily at home for the whole day. but that's not big deal as long as we're together.♥ ♥ ♥

WOOOOHOOOOOO EXAM IS OVER!!!!!!

i might sound excited but i'm feeling as if my eye lid weighs 1 ton -_-

it's so unusual of me being this devoted to blogging lately :p

the exam was pretty enjoyable (!!) as i did manage to attempt 5 questions within the time frame. however i still failed to finish all questions in time, gifted away 4 marks :( the questions were unexpectedly easy, with reference from lecture note i was even more confident with my answers. the feeling was simply SO GREAT :D

exam ended at 12.15pm and i rushed back to jb soon after it'd ended. leewang picked me up and we went for bak kut teh as lunch. RM22 gone for 6 small pieces of meat + 3 bowls of rice + 1 bowl of tou pok + 1 canned drink. so expensive lor!!! actually a better alternative has been found but unfortunately the business starts at night : /

after lunch we went down to Cold Storage to complete the Parma Ham Search. apparently such high end food was not found otherwise you'd be seeing the picture being posted here. i saw it in Cold Storage sg, selling at $13.8/pack. each pack contains only 5-6 pieces ................ T.T if it was to be sold here i guess the price would be at least RM25+. who on earth would spend the price of 1 big pizza for 6 thin pieces of ham -_-

leewang n i did something FUN today :D

u noe wat, we digged nothing but SWEET POTATOES out of the soil in his garden!!!!!!!! during the dinner we were chatting about the sweet potato leaves 'coz it was one of the dish we were having. leewang's mom mentioned the vege was planted in the garden and after harvested there were sweet potatoes left under the ground. WOW SWEET POTATOES!!!! i was so excited i wanted to dig them out! :D so after the lunch we rushed to the garden and equipped ourselves with a mini cute hoe :D we expected big sweet potatoes to be found but ended with 3 small potato-like sweet potatoes =.= we weren't even sure if they had ripen. but the whole process was sooooooooo fun! gonna post the pic up tomorrow ;)

how i wish tomorrow could be holiday :(

gotta wake up early again to catch my bus before 7.30am. but the fact tomorrow is friday has never failed to cheer me up a bit despite having to wake up this early.

battle time

time flies, and it flies even faster during study week -_-
the so-called study started last friday, but something had gone wrong with me so i started studying on Monday : /
now totally regretted starting SO LATE........................

i'm not really nervous nor scared this time 'coz it's OPEN BOOK EXAM!!! WOW the best thing ever :D all engineering paper should allow open book! it's all about formula n formula n, formula, when it comes to engineering paper. in real life working the boss wont test on you how much formula you can remember but how you are capable of applying them on problem solving. there are SO MANY formula there and it's so unreasonable to expect us to remember ALL. although some formula will be provided but it's just not enough. maybe this time round the examiner has finally got a little bit of conscience, realizing it's SO OK to allow open book LOL

engineering topic is not my strength for sure. well, in fact none of the topic is my strength -_- but comparing braincell-killing module like food chemistry with engineering module i guess i'd prefer the latter. i bet my brain capacity is so small and the brain cells are all so lazy that they can take in so much information. that's why i ended up with a C+ for food chem =.=

frankly speaking i dont feel like i'm well-prepared for the exam tmr. hmmm....... maybe the exam questions are simply too unpredictable that only people with really good basic knowledge can handle well. most importantly i don't think i can finish within time :( it's a 3 hours paper and 5 questions are to be completed. 36 mins for each questions...... O.o it was told by senior that past year papers are important and the class rep had got each of us like.... 6 sets?of past year paper. BUT, we dont have the model answer =.= then wat for giving us so many! pls, dont expect us to figure out the correct ans coz it's almost impossible. if we were able to we wouldn't be paying tuition fee as undergrad and received miserable life in return -_-

ok the clock hits 11.26.
i shall be off to bed and wake up early at 6am to make sure i wont be late!

flawless skin

apparently i'm not trying to give lecture on how to obtain flawless skin 'coz i myself dont even have one, leave alone teaching people on how to get one -_- i bet having flawless skin has been a dream of all the girls in this universe, flawless may be slightly extreme hence breakout-less would be the better word.

i was selecting photo for editing out of fun yesterday. when i was browsing thru all photo i couldn't help but feel sad looking at my terrible skin conditions. my skin has always been in the not-too-bad conditions until like 2 months ago. pimples started mushrooming on my face and left me terrifying scars. : / sometime my tears just rolled down uncontrollably when i looked into the mirror. why did my skin turn into this state?!

in the end i realized my skin might be sensitive to mineral oil. i used the Biore oil-based make-up remover almost everyday during my 2.5 months of attachment and the thing is mineral oil contributes to the highest proportion of the remover. also, that was when my skin condition began worsening. most pimples popped out at my chin area and many ppl told me that hormone might be the culprit. i wasn't any stressed out during the attachment hence it should have anything to do with stress. i had no idea how i could regulate my hormone so i just remained being helpless until, now.

i used to be using Avene skincare as they claim that their products are suitable for even sensitive skin. i'm not sure if i have got sensitive skin but this disclaimer had successfully assured me that i shouldnt be getting any breakout during or after using. after awhile i was bored of Avene so i changed my sunblock to Sana. the sunblock was so bad that it lead to formation of acne!!!!!! i realized abt this after i almost finished the whole bottle -_- i finished it not too long ago and i replaced it with La Roche Posay. not too long after i've planted my interest to LRP i found Decleor =.= Decleor was the brand introduced by miss choco and i was convinced that their products are good. but unfortunately the price range is pretty high that i din not think of using their product. there was this day when i was doing necessity shopping I FOUND DECLEOR AT LOWER PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was so happy and started buying their products.

the ingredients of Decleor products are mainly plant-based hence it is should be rather safe i guess? initially the results were satisfactory. but after few days pimples were back in sight AGAIN =.= i was worried to sick and had no a single clue W.H.Y. i know pimples can be brought about by various aspects but i just cant help suspecting the products i used =.=

up to date i havent got any conclusion yet and wat i did to control my pimples were cutting down the number of the skin care product that i used everytime. i was thinking perhaps i introduced too many new products to the skin at a time hence my skin was like intolerable to them. so nowadays i use maybe only 1 product (excluding sunblock) per day and i'll see how it goes. :)

hopefully it will get better as day goes by............. :(

it's rare sight that i updated my blog twice a day. there's something that i think i just wanna blog about.
exam is just around the corner but i'm still not in the mood to work really hard for it. i was thinking about this last night, why i just do not have the motivation to really work hard and get myself a lil bit of achievements. in the end i drew the conclusion to lack of motivation.

the greatest target of mine in life is to bring my parents travelling around without having them pay a single cent. to achieve this the most important thing is definitely earning alot alot and alot. working adults in this universe know very well that working is not as easy as what we might have imagined all the time. what we had encountered during any attachment or internship were only the very minor part of a real working life. when you become a permanent staff your boss will treat you differently and stress from work will become the part and parcel of life. there's no free lunch in this world right? you don't work very little and get enormous amount of money every month. the salary is always directly proportional to the workload as well as the responsibilities. i do not want to bear heavy responsibility yet i want to earn more. HOW? be a secretary with revealing clothes may help i guess? -_-

i was told to learn to be more flexible when facing problems. but i just can't bring myself to do something that i'm not willing to. life is complicated, filled with complicated people all around and all kinds of complicated situations. it's good to have a firm stand and hold on to the principle. however the real life situation has taught us to be less sincere and FAKE to people around us in order to safeguard ourselves. what a pathetic truth to know. sigh~

hopefully when i wake up tomorrow i'll have had my mind filled with LOADS of motivations O.o

ice-cream making!!!

awwwwwww making ice-cream at home is something that i've never, ever thought of. i used to have the perception that it can only be made using some sorts of special equipment and for sure i couldn't afford one.

BUT!!!!!!

i came out with the very special HANDMADE ice-cream with leewang yesterday!!!!!!

let's see how i achieved that :D

ingredients

1 big plastic container, 1 small metal bowl, ice cubes, egg beater, 200ml of milk and 1 packet of matcha ice-cream premix

bought from cold storage, bugis $4.50

i saw this method from a tv show tat i watched years ago -_-

the ice cubes were used for providing a cold environment to the ice-cream mix

metal bowl used for better heat transfer!

start making!!

the ingredients were simply the premix and the 200ml of milk

pour everything into the bowl and mix with the egg beater

the instruction said mix until thickens and if the electronic mixer were used it would take about 2-3 min

but i guess handmaking would be better coz it seemed that by doing so there might be less air being introduced into the ice-cream, thus giving finer texture?

done mixing!

insisting for better quality, we hand-mixed the mixture for 26 minutes -.-

i expected it to turn thicker that it wouldnt flow easily but at the end of 26 minutes it still moved very freely -_-

it did turn thicker but apparently not very thick kind

ok after mixing just freeze it in freezer for 3 hours!

ICE-CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!

during the 3 hours i couldnt help but kept opening the freezer to check on how well it had been doing and ended up scolded by leewang n my mom. T.T they warned me not to open the freeze again or the ice-cream might take even longer time to settle. OK LOR so i guai-guaily waited for 3 hours :'(

strickly speaking it wasn't really 100% successful 'coz the texture wasn't totally ice-cream-y

the mixture separated into 2 parts, upper layer was more ice-cream-like whereas the lower layer tasted like frozen matcha drink -_- i could even feel the ice on my toungue!

in overall the taste of the ice-cream was pretty good. the upper layer had the ice-cream texture but tastewise it was rather mild, the lower later tasted better but it wasn't ice-cream afterall. i guess the failure was due to the improper mixing maybe? we've decided to try one more time and this time round we'll use the electronic mixer and see how it goes!

up til now all lectures of the first module in Sem 2 had ended and in less than 7 days' time i will be having the exam. i should be studying or even during revision at this time i'm totally not in the mood to so do. sigh....... not wanting to fail but not putting in much efforts at the same time. how how???

went to the PC fair yesterday with the intention of checking out my targeted lappie Toshiba T130 in red. WHO KNOWS it was not seen any where 'coz it's not even available. NOT AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!! nonononono i so don't wanna believe this is true. before i actually went down i had done tons of survey and i was more than 200000% sure it does exist in this universe. too little did i know it is not available here in jb. YEAH, JOHOR BAHRU!! stupid O.o apart from lappie i was looking for a new mouse and the WD external harddisk Elite. and guess what? i couldnt get any of them as well. my day was totally ruined :( maybe i had been pre-destined to save up my (papa's) money T.T

today is saturday but my mood at the moment isn't as happy as usual : / the thought of exam made really down :( can anyone save me from this disaster?

aw......i'm finally here again after soooooooo long time. it's already the 4th academic week and i'm done with all the reports of this module. feeling rather relax, im not in the mood for any homework today and i even intended to go to bed when the clock hit 8.30pm -.-" i was ultra sleepy this morning, thanks to the report i slept at 3am last night and woken up at 6.30am, couldn't help but took a nap during the 10 minutes lecture break. to be frank i'm still feeling sleepy at the moment and feel like go to sleep right away but there's still tutorial.... hmmm ok lar do it later.

while i'm writing this blog entry i'm also uploading some photos to my fb. whoa u see i'm capable of multitasking! LOL speaking of photos.... my SD card was out of memory last Sat!! this has never happened to me as i do transfer photos from the SD card to my lappie from time to time hence they could never accumulate to the extent that the memory would run out. apparently i was short of time to do all the things that i used to be doing during my free time : / i sound busy but in fact i'm not rally tat busy. i couldn't spend hours watching 下一站，幸福 i dont see why i wouldn't have time so.... OK LOR I WAS LAZY LAR =_________=

bought quite a lot of stuff recently and i cant help feeling guilty looking at the remaining $$$ in my bank account and wondering............. how could it be this little?????!!!!!! aduh....financial planner wanted urgently!!!! anyone? lol but i guess i might have unconsciously stressed out and had unknowingly taking shopping as a way of de-stressing. i just felt like buying something so i would feel happy. maybe by doing so the stress would become less dominant then. ARGH! it does make sense! i just realized most of the things were bought in the last 2 weeks when i was so busy dealing with all sorts of reports and assignments! SO IN CONCLUSION, the pathetic amount in my bank has been justified and all my spending shall be forgiven :D

there were many times i was thinking of giving up this blog... it really takes time to update as i update my twitter and fb more often and they made me not having sufficient 'materials' for a proper blog entry. but, making decision is not as simple as it seems to be, especially a decision related to giving up something that has been there for a long while. well it's not so long actually, but abandoning something that i used to own definitely wont make me feel good. that's why i kept this blog and am now updating it. like a visitor, i come to my bloggie quite frequently, hoping to see maybe a message left in my chatbox? very often i'd think of coming up with new entry but it was so difficult to turn the thought into action. it's easier to say than do but it's even easier to think than do. sigh.... : /

i realized i shouldn't have moved all my photos into different folders. now i'm having difficulties finding them all out for uploading -_- searching among 10GB of photo isn't an easy task eh? if i'm to sleep before 11pm i shall stop here as captioning is time-consuming and not to forget the tutorial!!!

OH YA! leewang is having the last lecture of his Uni life today and he just texted me not too long ago saying he had finished the last presentation and scored A+!!!

i'm really proud of him, genuinely. he works really hard for his future, and our future..

phew just got back home not too long ago. have got tons of to-dos but feel like blogging so i might make a short update while im taking some rests.

I'VE BACK TO SCHOOL!
my attachment had ended last Fri and school started on Mon. today, third day of school, i got the first report T.T but the timetable for this semester is a pretty good one - only one module at a time and 1 report ONLY per week and 3/5 week lessons end latest at 3pm!! so i'm really happy with it :D

thanks to miss choco i'm fascinated by Decleor products recently -_- she told me it's really good and i trust her judgements. so i went to check it out at Tangs toda after lesson and got myself some goodbuys!

bought the Matifying Lotion for my pimples, normal size 250ml $54 but mine 400ml only $61 HOHOHO also got the starter kit $49, it comes with a few products that i wanted to try but in smaller size and more affordable price. happi happi with the purchase and i'm gonna try them out later! :D

walamak i think my clock spoilt already. 8.11PM already now???!!! i still need to tabulate my experimental datas and do some readings and do revision for today..................................................... yet i'm still here blogging since 7pm =.= how inefficient i am :(

ok lar to be frank actually my main focus of this entry is the Decleor LOL so since i've done my sharing i can stop here and start working very hard!

26th feb 2010 marks the last day of my attachment with Lerk Thai, so here i am, sitting comfortably at the living room on a Tuesday night.

i did enjoy the 2.5 months there. i met a bunch of nice ppl, way better than those i had met back to the days i joined BT. they were kind and friendly, and were helpful enough that my work went on really smoothly and almost perfectly. despite having to wake up early, i looked forward to going for work every single day. nice food nice people nice environment and NO OFFICE POLITICS. what else could i ask for? i had gotten each of them a small gift to express my gratitude for making my past 2.5 months a joyous one.... i can't help but miss them much :(

how i wish the attachment could just end like that. what's on hand now is the attachment report that i've yet to start a single word. but i just checked with my senior and got the news that this report actually carries 0 credit so.....YEAH! anyhow write lar! since i dont really aim(to be exact, i wont be able to get it. i just knew it.) for first class degree so this attachment report thingy wont really affect my life. brave enough, eh? LOL

i've gotten quite a number of blessings from my readers of previous entry. i'm thankful of that. :) i sincerely hope that every one around me can find their true love and be loved and, stay happily and healthy on this earth until they grow old. i have really nice friends and i simply think that they should be treated nicely the way they deserved, not having somebody breaking their hearts inconsiderately. you people out there, i'll pray really, really hard, just for you. :)

i find myself losing the ability to concentration on anything that i do, got distracted way too easily. is that a symptom of getting older? -_- ok that's all for today and i'm off for mask!!

好快 1646个日子就这样过了
想当初那个傻蛋还说 “我还以为我们毕业后就会分手了” 什么鬼话一巴过去 -_- 如果那个女孩不是我或许或许就不会有54个月了
不是我在称赞自己OK！是现实案例太多我无法不作出这样的推论

傻傻的男孩和傻傻的女孩4年半前傻傻地在一起其实说傻也不傻女孩会答应在一起是因为考虑到对方是个有上进心的男生聪明幽默其实不错啊虽然很实际很现实可是这样才踏实不是吗？可能没有很多甜言蜜语没有偶像剧里的浪漫把戏但是因为这样两个人才会长久才不会有在一起或者结婚前后差很多的问题吧？18岁的女孩，第一次谈恋爱就想得那么远 -_- 巧姑娘说“18岁不是靠感觉谈恋爱的年龄咩！zomok想酱多？！” 对啊。。女孩真的想很多或许真的是思想成熟吧哈哈哈

一封简讯男孩和女孩开始了美丽的初恋 没有曾经幻想过的追求过程然后就这样开始了还真是便宜了男孩哈哈哈

男女恋爱初期最重要也最难开口的就是金钱问题在一起不久后男孩和女孩有机会一同出游一直没有提起的金钱问题还是免不了女孩并没有那种出门一定要男生付钱的心态只是因为不好意思所以也没有提出什么意见刚开始都是男孩在买单吃了几餐后生性节俭就还是提出了分担开销的问题 =.=||| 女孩也知道男孩没有收入什么都让他付钱也不是很合理吧？所以也很乐意一起分担现在想想还真不知道男孩哪来的脸皮说出那些话 O.o 哈哈哈哈哈哈

在一起一个月的日子将至女孩就想着要怎么庆祝可是女孩很清楚男孩大喇喇的个性细心是个100%不适合他的形容词加上他平日的表现想必这种日子男孩一定不会放在心上吧如果自己准备了什么好像会很奇怪的样子加上那时候还是上课日也不能够做什么吧女孩就这样遗憾地放弃了庆祝的念头 2005年9月17日女孩一如往常上学去没想到男孩递了一个便当盒给女孩里面装着女孩爱吃的薯片！女孩很开心也很后悔自己什么都没有准备。。薯片本来是要让女孩带回家吃的可是嘴馋的女孩上课时有一片没一片地吃着结果下课时就快吃完了 -_- 不吃还好一吃不得了原来盒子底下竟然藏了一张卡片！！！！！！！！！女孩又惊又喜对男孩的用心很感动。。接下来的每个月17号男孩和女孩都作了卡片给对方独缺第二个月因为统考忙碌所以没有做的卡片女孩也在在一起一年一个月的时候补上了应该在一年前送出的卡片

毕业后男孩和女孩都在新加坡读书因为两人并没有分隔两地的问题日子还是这样平淡地过着直到男孩大学开学前因为要到香港探望婆婆17天不能和女孩见面女孩为了这件事哭了几次因为太常见面了突然要分开这么久还真是舍不得没有想到不知道什么时候变得那么贴心的男孩竟然准备了一份小礼物送给女孩那是一个礼物盒里面装了17支棒棒糖当女孩想念男孩的时候就可以吃不过一天只可以吃一支因为只有17支吃完了男孩就回来了男孩的贴心让女孩在四年半后的今天仍然能够记得当时的感动男孩在香港的时候唯一能和女孩联络的方式就是email 因为怕霸占电脑的时间太长所以没有办法和女孩网上聊天只能够每天晚上写日记把当天发生的事情记录下来让女孩看在香港的17天男孩很想念女孩去到哪里看到什么都在想：如果女孩有在那该多好每天都在倒数着回国的日子 17天后女孩很开心地到机场去接机男孩也带了很多小礼物回来给女孩甚至比买给自己的东西还多！这17天分开的日子让男孩想了很多也让男孩更珍惜和女孩在一起的时间接下来的日子里男孩也有再到香港去每次都一样想念女孩每次都说下次要和女孩一起去知道女孩没有出过国在交往3年后男孩就花了自己的薪水和储蓄带女孩到香港去到访男孩之前和女孩提起的人事物踏遍许多去过没去过的地方度过了开心的10天

i'm supposed to work until 6pm today but can leave earlier with boss's permission!

although earlier doesnt mean 4 hours earlier -_- but cant be bothered lar!

decided to leave at 1.30pm so there's 5 more minutes. leewang is on his way here and after tat we'll be heading towards Bishan to meet up with chewting. thanks to her we don't have to take bus but hopefully-not-too-hot van :D

really cant wait for the CNY to come so i can have all my new stuff on! woohoooo!!! besides this the reason why i want CNY to come faster is that leewang has promised to accompany me on 13/2 so we can watch all nice nice fireworks together! the thought of it already makes me happie! ^_^

3 days ago it was leewang's 23rd birthday!

time really flies i must say. we were attached at the age of 18 and now, 23! and there were many times i felt that i'm really getting older and not as energetic as few years back : / I DONT WANNA GET OLD LAR!!!

i so wanted to give him a special birthday but in the end the celebration still turned out so-so only. sigh... :( passed him the present last saturday 'coz i just couldn't wait to show it to him!

was told by leewang that actually i've spend $150 on his birthday celebration =.= how easily my 150 bucks was taken away by 1 meal + 1 tee + 1 birthday cake O.o

today is 5 Feb which means.... CNY is around the corner! i'm so looking forward to it as i've got myself tons of new stuff! :D dare not calculate how much i've spent...shhhhh.... -_- so i'm really, really broke now T.T but i'm happy! that's the most important dont you agree? ^^

later on will be meeting up with my dear choco and numnum. WOW WOW choco is back at msia again!!! :D i dont know why i'm so happy everytime she's back here -_- anyway not that everything in this universe can be explained ;)

i'm really happy recently. every thing just went on smoothly like what i've expected them too.

have been wanting to blog since...... ok i've lost count how long ago. i'm puzzled why i just couldn't rest my finger on the keyboard and kept being distracted by whatever-it-is. sigh. now i end up having tons of things to be blogged about yet have no idea where start to with. : /

perhaps i could talk about what i'm doing currently? well my semester officially ended 5 weeks ago. supposedly i should have started my attachment the next day of my last paper but i had requested for one week holiday so my attachment started on 21st Dec. before i actually accepted this attachment offer, i was told that this attachment involved the use of an automated equipment for processing of food product, which sounded related to my course of study. due to the fact that it wasn't easy to get an offer hence i hadn't think much and happily accepted it.

that's when the worse thing happened.....

i regretted the acceptance the first day i reached the place where i would be working for the following 2.5 months. i'm stationed in Lerk Thai, a Thai restaurant. the so-called automated equipment is a WOK which is only half of my height and is placed in a KITCHEN -_- i thought it would be some kind of large machine that we usually see in a processing plant : / basically i'm to work with a chef and cook dishes using that automated wok. i dont cook but the chef does +.+ the challenge is that the dishes will not taste the same as that cooked using traditional wok without the correct cooking time and right amount of ingredients. the job is super easy that what i need to do is only eat and eat and eat and i dont have to make use of any of my knowledge from book and, most importantly, there aren't much hands-on skills i can learn from this attachment :( at the beginning i felt so disappointed but now, after working for 5 weeks, i've totally given up the idea of learning and instead, taken it as my time-killer and source of income! :D

speaking of source of income.... i'm paid $700/month. sounds a lot eh? yes it does if the idea of getting a Neverfull din appear in my mind. the idea aroused not too long after choco said she'll be coming back in Feb coz she's coming back from France you know! a location that is well-known for cheap branded stuffs! i happen to be earning few hundred bucks and most probably i can get papa to sponsor part of the $$$ therefore getting a neverfull is becoming not-impossible!!!!

but too bad. forking out one month+ salary for a bag is really really not my way of doing and my mom will surely scold me to death if she finds out. that's y i'm struggling over to buy or not to buy. but...but...but.... ok maybe i can list out my arguments for TO BUY

1. money is meant to be spent! i know i should save up for my future but money can be earned again right?

2. i will be happy. what's more important than a happy life? i wouldn't say i wont feel happy if i dont buy it but to me i will be happier if i buy it now compared to buying it years later.

3. it's cheaper! in other words i'm saving money! i bet the price will definitely higher years later so why should i spend more for exactly the same thing?

4. i can afford it now! even if i dont get any subsidy from papa i can still pay it on my own.

5. it's LV! who doesnt love or never thought of getting an authentic one? it's kind of dream.

6. CNY is around the corner so it's reasonable of me getting a new bag for new year. ok this is crap that explains y i placed it last. :p

NOT buying?

1. mama will definitely be unhappy. to her spending RM1k+ for a bag is totally insane.

2. i will need to limit my cash flow as there won't be much left -_-

3. i'm not even sure if it worths the money.

ok i was just wasting my time as apparently i wont come out with decision based solely on these -_- i'm left with no time for the decision as Feb draws near. SIGH............... :(
