february has been such a busy month for me! although i spent most of my time at home, my to-dos seem to be never-ending :x i've used up most of my brain juice thinking about the design of card made for leewang for birthday/VDay/78th month -.-

YES, 78 months = 7 years and 6 months = approx. 2340 days

wow that's pretty impressive LOL

my point is, after dating with my dear dbb for this long, valentine's day is no longer a special day for us anymore. we deem it a commercial day where merchandisers take the opportunities to earn unethical profit -_- hence we had decided to opt for a more practical way by not going to restaurants for V Day special set meal + not getting any ridiculously overpriced bouquet. we would rather save the money and have big feast in jb instead :)

my favourite Astons for dinner!

Astons is exactly the best example of the following saying:

my first encounter with Astons can be dated back to many years ago when leewang was still a uni student. one day he brought me to this place and i was like OMG THIS IS SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is always loooooooong queue outside because their grills are really delicious yet very reasonably priced: 1 chicken chop with 2 side dishes at only $6.90. seriously i bet this is the only place where you can have such good quality restaurant food at food court price! it might not be the best grilled chicken chop in town but it definitely worths every single cent!!

well quite some times ago Astons kind of changed their business model and ventured into food court but the good thing is that the grilled chicken chop tastes as nice as that from restaurant :) i accidentally discovered the food court that housed Astons just days before Valentine's Day and came up with the idea of settling our V day dinner there. and that was indeed the best decision ever coz there was zero queue and the food was fantastic and we didn't pay extra for lousy food!

ordered hickory BBQ chargrilled chicken chop! 

only one meal was ordered for sharing because……….. leewang has way too much fats to receive additional so he only had mouthful of it lolol

my second cuppa Gong Cha of the day because leewang said he hasn't had one -_-

first try on Gong Cha milk with melon tea. not bad but just too sweet for my preference. i still prefer oolong tea more ;)

was trying to snap a picture of us with the logo behind but still failed after a million shots :x

learnt lesson from last year so i ordered my cake earlier to prevent disappointment -_-

i really really dislike the brownie at the bottom layer but the top rich dark chocolate layers deserves a compliment ;)
