of Stationery

i've been posting lotsa food pictures consecutively in previous posts so today let's change a new topic!

yeah, stationery it is.
and it always took me a few seconds to confirm that stationery is the right word. =_=

I believe stationery craze hardly appeals to adults since they have lefts school for relatively longer time than existing students and, thanks to the advancement of technology, all we need is our laptop/desktop/ or the multifunctional handphone to do things that require the use of stationery.

BUT.

there was this day i came across a Taiwanese blogger who blogged about her stationery hauls and that was when i understood how this stationery thingy has revolutionised to a brand new level where they are not just simply about blue/black/red/green pens or eraser or ruler but things like decorative masking tapes, stamping tools and notebook.

What amazed me more was the fact that stationery can go crazily expensive that the amount is not what an ordinary student can afford. For instance, a Midori Traveller Notebook (yes it's just a notebook but marketed as one you can bring along when going overseas to jot down the travelling experience on the spot) can easily cost you over RM100 and not to mentioned the endless selections of matching accessories.

Not to worry, i have not been crazy enough to spend 100 bucks on a notebook yet.

What attracted me most was the super beautiful and useful decorative masking tape!! I was trying to purchase some but Mr. Google suggested that this kind of masking tape is not so common in Malaysia hence they are ridiculously expensive here since the seller will have to purchase from overseas and the international shipping definitely costs a bomb. By expensive i meant RM10 or above for a 10m roll.

Gosh it's even more expensive than a McD meal already. :O

On the other hand, decorative masking tape seems to be much more popular in Taiwan that they can be easily found from local stationery stores or even online book store. What's more? The price was like 50% lower than what was offered here in Malaysia.

50%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so happy when found it online but the fact that THEY DO NOT SHIP WORLDWIDE struck me hard. T__________________________T

I always have a feeling that things change when they go too extreme. It's just like waves go down upon hitting the highest point. That's why retro style could go in trend at the current modern society - it is so saturated with modern stuff that people start reminiscing the good old times and styles that have been long forgotten. Likewise, i have no idea since when i got rather annoyed by this all-digital life style that i start missing the days of using pen and paper instead of handphone for record purpose.

So i bought myself a notebook and some pens but still could not get over the idea of masking tape so in recent Taiwan trip........

ya i bought hell lot of masking tape that are more than enough for 10 years' usage hahahahahaha
this is how much i love masking tape lolol.

unwrapping took me a while to complete =_="

bought these plastic boxes from Daiso to store them

kept the beginning section of each tape in my notebook

second page!

and third page =.=

They are so beautiful aren't they?????

All of them are made of washi paper from Japan and there are many different brands like the most popular mt, Colte, DailyLike, Fun Tape, Mark's and many more.

There are many many ways of using these tape and you can even wrap yourself up using that if you want lolol.

Otherwise you can use them in the ways like how i did:

Last but not least, i'm selling my masking tape in unit of 1m as i highly doubt that i can finish them in even 10 years' time. =______________________=

Pricing ranges from RM1/unit onwards depending on the design.

Please email me at hydrogen423 (at) hotmail (dot) com if you'd like to get your hands on them! I'm selling limited unit only so grab them fast!
